The WBC mourns the passing of Gonzalo Plascencia

The World Boxing Council and its President Mauricio Sulaimán, mourn the death of Gonzalo Plascencia at 63.

Gonzalo, a very dear friend of the WBC, was a successful businessman, boxing promoter and advisor to boxers.

Gonzalo will always be revered as an honest person, a true professional, dedicated and committed to his work, but even more so, for being a great, decent, kind and caring person. He was blessed with the gift of friendship.

The entire WBC family will always remember Gonzalo with respect, admiration and cherished friendship.
