WBC Cares Visits Legaria Pediatric Hospital Heroes

Today, the boxing family experienced a so poignantly  memorable day by celebrating two tremendous activities as part of our WBC Cares program.

Legaria Pediatric Hospital

The first activity took place at the Legaria Pediatric Hospital. Our WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán, participated, accompanied by the silver super bantamweight champion David Picasso and the former world champions José Antonio Aguirre and Isaac Bustos.

The mission of this group was to present world champion kits, toys, caps and an unforgettable experiences to courageous little champions who are fighting with all their might, a true battle often of life and death, solely motivated by their great tenacity, bravery, heart and the boundless love of their families.

At the end of the event, Mauricio commented that it was the children who gave them an unforgettable day: “They are warriors in every definition of the word. The WBC is so very, very  proud to be able to be a small part in the battles that these young   Heroes and  heroines and their families who fight each and every day.”

We especially thank our beloved former champions: José Antonio Aguirre and Isaac Bustos. They epitomize the fabric of true champions. Essentially what it is all about. Strength of spirit coupled with the compassion of the heart.

To our beloved, David Picasso, we can only emphasize and convey our deepest  admiration for the beautiful human being that he is. We are so very grateful to count on your brightest light, which illuminates the lives of those you come across. A true beacon of magnificent inspiration.

The WBC family was received at the Legaria hospital by the CDMX state coordinator IMSS Bienestar: Dr. Alejandro Ávalos Bracho; the director of the hospital: Dr. Juan Diaz Sotelo and the second level director of IMSS Bienestar care: Dr. Isabel Martínez. We are especially grateful for their beautiful work, which they carry out with dedication compassion, determination and love.

The care they provide and the treatment with which they help vulnerable children is an inspiration and a source of joy as well as admiration for the WBC.
