1964.- At the Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico, champion Carlos Ortiz defended his WBC lightweight title, defeating American Kenny Lane.

1974.- Japanese Ishimatsu Suszuki conquered the WBC lightweight title by knocking out Mexican Rodolfo González in 8 rounds at the Nihon University Auditorium in Tokyo, Japan.

1981.- In a fight between North American heavyweights, Larry Holmes defended his WBC title by defeating Trevor Berbick, at Caesars Palace, Sports Pavilion in Las Vegas.

1991.- Mexican Marcos Villasana knocked out the Colombian Rafael Zuñiga in 6 rounds, defending the WBC featherweight title. The match took place at the Arena Coliseo in Mexico City.

2015.- Mexican Pedro Guevara knocked out Filipino Richard Claveras in the first round, defending his WBC light flyweight title. The bout took place at the Multiple Use Center of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico.
