1965.- At Madison Square Garden in New York, Puerto Rican José “Chegui” Torres knocked out American Willie Pastrano in 9 rounds. With this triumph, José conquered the WBC light heavyweight title.
1965.- American Emile Griffith defended his WBC welterweight title by defeating Cuban Joe Stable by decision. The match took place at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
1984.- At the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, American Marvin Hagler knocked out Mexican Juan Domingo Roldán in 10 rounds. In this fight the WBC middleweight title was at stake.
1986.- Mexican Gilberto Román defeated Japanese Jiro Watanabe by decision in a match held in Itami, Japan. In this fight the WBC super flyweight title was on the line.
1992.- At the Great Western Forum in Inglewood, California, Mexican Víctor Rabanales defeated Korean Yonghoon Lee. With this victory Rabanales conquered the WBC interim bantamweight title.
1996.- British Wayne Mccullough defended his WBC bantamweight title by defeating Mexican José Luis Bueno by decision, in a match held in Dublin, Ireland.
2019.- Ukrainian Oleksander Gvozdyk defended his WBC light heavyweight title by knocking out Congolese Doudou Ngumbu in 5 rounds, at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.
