No fly in the ointment, as Mexican Julio César Martínez will defend his World Boxing Council flyweight belt against Venezuelan Angelino Córdova on March 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“King” Martínez is 20-2 with 15 knockouts, while his rival Córdova remains undefeated, with a record of 18-0-1 with 12 knockouts.
Martínez comes to this fight after defeating the tough Spanish fighter Samuel Carmona, by majority decision. Then he defended the title against Ronal Bastista and now he will try to make one more successful, defense, on this occasion against Córdova.
Córdova, who is undefeated as a professional, comes into this fight after defeating Puerto Rican Angel Acosta. Another Angel?
At the official weigh-in, Martínez registered 111.6 pounds, while Córdova was 111.8 pounds.
