Undisputed super lightweight champion, English Chantelle Cameron, will put her titles at stake for the second time against Irish legend Katie Taylor, topping tbe bill on Saturday, at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.
This Friday, at the official weigh-in for this card, Cameron and Taylor saw each other for the last time before fists fly. Cameron weighed 139.5 pounds, while Taylor checked in at 139.6 pounds.
Cameron (18-0, 8 knockouts) aims to make her second successful defense as undisputed champion. The 32-year-old from Northampton, England, outclassed undefeated Adriana dos Santos Araujo in 2020. She subsequently defeated Mary McGee in October 2021.
Saturday will mark her third consecutive fight against an undisputed champion. She defeated welterweight queen Jessica McCaskill, in addition to defeating Taylor, marking the first meeting between two undefeated and undisputed champions.
The fight is organized by Matchroom Boxing and will be televised on DAZN. With so much at stake, this promises to be a thriller, classic and a barn burner…all rolled into one!
