Thrill  for Jill! 

The International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame celebrated 10 years of history over the weekend. In the event presented as “The Night of the Stars” the best in the world of women’s boxing were recognized.

On Saturday, October 7, the Mardi Gras Ballroom of the Orleans hosted the meeting, dinner, and induction ceremony for the new members of the 2023-2024 IWBHF and the winners of special awards; They are: Agnieszka Rylik (Poland), Daniella Smith (New Zealand), Suzy Taylor (Nevada) and Rhonda Luna (California). María Jesús Rosas (Spain), Jacqui Frazier-Lyde (Pennsylvania), Esther Schouten (Netherlands), Stacy Prestige (Missouri) and Sindy Amador (California), all in the “Modern Female Boxers” category.

 In the “Non-boxer” category, retired president Judy Kulis and promoter Lou Dibella, from New York, were inducted. Canadian amateur promoter Jenny Reid will also be included.

Kaliesha West, Sonya Lamonakis, Laura Ramsey Kim Messer, Leah Mellinger, Jenifer Alcorn, Melissa McMorrow, Yvonne Trevino and Melissa Del Valle are also now inductees into the Hall of Fame.

The “Non-boxer and pioneer” category included Jill Diamond Chastain, Bruce Silverglade and Dallas Malloy.

The boxing family congratulates all the women and men honored, recognizing their tremendous work in the growth and development of women’s boxing.

Likewise, the WBC Family especially celebrates the induction of Jill Diamond into the IWBHF.

 Jill Diamond, is WBC International Secretary and Global President of WBC Cares. She is a fundamental worker and an irrepressible character within the organization as she inspires through her leadership and willingness to go the extra mile, fighting, dreaming, and breaking paradigms through kindness, empathy and solidarity.
