Ugas, Barrios, Ramos and Lubin Impressive at Presser

Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez will return to the ring to face the American Jermell Charlo defending the undisputed super middleweight crown, on September 30, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the main event will be reinforced by a superb undercard of quality bouts.

This card will be completed by attractive fights. Yordenis Ugas and Mario “Azteca” will face each other for the interim welterweight title of the World Boxing Council. Ugas is trained by Ismael Salas, while Barrios trains with Bob Santos. With the skills sets of each one, it promises to be an attractive clash of styles.

In another attractive fight, contesting the World Boxing Council Silver super welterweight title, the undefeated Jesús “Mono” Ramos will face the experienced Erickson “Hammer” Lubin.
The stars of this card participated in the final press conference in Las Vegas. This is some of what they commented:

Yordenis Ugas:

“Barrios is a strong fighter, a tough fighter and a former world champion. I am motivated to face an opponent of his caliber.”
“There is a lot at stake in this fight, but this is what I do. I go out and fight the best. I plan to make the most of this opportunity. I promise fans will see another exciting fight on September 30.”

Mario Barrios:

“I’m trying to solidify my brand in this division. It will be a tough fight on Saturday. I’ve never seen Ugas shy away from a fight and I have a similar style. This fight will be explosive and people will not want to miss it.”

Jesus Ramos Jr.

“I am here to show that I am one of the best and to do so I have to beat the best. “I am sure that with a victory I will put myself at the top of the division.
I have good power and I also have skills to win. I’m a smart fighter and everyone will see that on Saturday. I’m going to take the win. I want to make a statement and I have to dominate.”

Erickson Lubin:

“I come to this fight very hungry. I have a young and revenous fighter in front of me, but I am also young and hungry. You can expect fireworks because we will surely have a war.”
This victory will put me on top and I will have a great projection. I plan to steal the night.”

The evening is organized by Premier Boxing Champions and will be televised by PPV Showtime.
