Mikey García and WBC CARES visit the DHR Children’s Hospital in Edinburg, Texas

This past weekend, multiple former WBC world champion Mikey Garcia paid an emotional visit to DHR Children’s Hospital in Edinburg, Texas.

DHR Health Children’s Hospital provides a high level of pediatric care to the Rio Grande Valley, Texas. It is a place and a haven, committed to supporting the community to keep children healthy and happy. The health care needs of most children require special attention from specially trained physicians and staff with experience in treating acute illness, managing chronic illness and injury to provide comprehensive care.

Our champion shared time with the children of this hospital, bringing them souvenirs and gifts as well as offering smiles and hugs to the young patients.
The WBC CARES program has established itself as a beacon of hope for children and youth around the world, many of whom are fighting for their very lives, facing up to acute illness and battling with all their might to overcome adversity.

The WBC is so very, very proud of this program, of those who join in to inspire and of our champions who are always willing to help those who need it most. Thank you Mikey!
